GT's Biggest-Ever IPL Win โ SRH Crumble for 86
Sai Sudharsan and Washington Sundar both score fifties, Kagiso Rabada takes 3/28 (Player of the Match), Jason Holder picks up 3/20, and Jos Buttler sets an IPL wicketkeeping record with 5 dismissals. Sunrisers' lowest total of the season.
Gujarat Titans claimed the biggest victory in their IPL history โ an 82-run demolition of Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. After defending just 168 on a treacherously two-paced surface, GT's pace battery led by Kagiso Rabada (3/28) and Jason Holder (3/20) bowled SRH out for their lowest IPL 2026 total โ 86 in just 14.5 overs.
The win extended GT's unbeaten run to five matches and took them to 16 points from 12 games. Even more importantly, Jos Buttler set an IPL record for most dismissals by a wicketkeeper in an innings for Gujarat Titans with 5 catches, passing Wriddhiman Saha's previous best of 4.
This was GT's largest margin of victory ever in the IPL in runs, surpassing their 77-run win against Rajasthan Royals. With the IPL 2026 Final being held at this very ground (Narendra Modi Stadium) on May 31, GT's home record makes them serious title contenders. The match also confirmed Rabada-Siraj-Holder as the most fearsome new-ball attack in T20 cricket right now.
๐ GT Innings: 168/5 (20 overs)
GT captain Shubman Gill won the toss and elected to bat first on what he expected to be a better pitch than his team had played on recently. Gill himself was dismissed in just the third over, mistiming a sweep โ a sign the pitch was much more difficult than he'd hoped.
Pat Cummins (1/20) and the impressive young SRH pacer Praful Hinge (2/17) tightened the screws. Hinge dismissed Buttler (7) caught behind looking to scoop, putting GT in deep trouble at 34/2 after the powerplay. They could easily have been worse โ but Sai Sudharsan and Nishant Sindhu absorbed the pressure.
Sindhu departed for 21 in the 10th over. From there, Sudharsan (61 off 44) and Washington Sundar (50 off 33) stitched together a vital recovery partnership. The pitch was sluggish โ deliveries stuck in the surface and there was unpredictable bounce โ but the pair found a way, picking up boundaries when they could and rotating strike between.
Sundar's fifty was particularly important given the conditions. The late hitting from Rashid Khan and Jason Holder pushed GT past 165 โ a total that looked below par at the time but proved more than enough.

๐ฅ SRH Chase: 86 all out (14.5 overs) โ Lowest of the Season
Chasing 169, SRH never recovered from the new ball. Mohammed Siraj (1/11) dismissed Impact Player Travis Head for a duck in the very first over, and then Kagiso Rabada ripped through the top order.
Rabada's hard-length deliveries were unplayable โ Ishan Kishan fell in the fourth over, Smaran Ravichandran in the fifth, and Aiden Markram soon after. By the end of the powerplay, SRH were a stunning 34/4. Rabada finished with figures of 3/28 in 4 overs โ Player of the Match.
Then Jason Holder, the West Indian seamer, took over with slower balls. He dismissed Heinrich Klaasen (14) caught behind, then Nitish Kumar Reddy (2) caught at point, then Shivang Kumar caught behind off a scoop attempt. Holder's 3/20 meant SRH's middle order was gone too.
Pat Cummins offered the highest individual contribution with a determined 19 from the tail, but Prasidh Krishna (2/23) and the rest of GT's attack wrapped up the innings for 86 in 14.5 overs โ SRH's lowest total of IPL 2026.
